And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite sojourning on the farther side of the hill-country of Ephraim, who took to him a concubine out of Beth-lehem-judah.

And it came to pass¹ in those¹ days,ª when [there was] no¹ kingª in Israel,ª that there was¹ a certainª Leviteª sojourningª° on the sideª of mountª Ephraim,ª who tookª° to him a concubineªª out of Bethlehemjudah.ªª¹

And it came to passe¹ in those¹ dayes,ª when there [was] no¹ Kingª in Israel,ª that there was¹ a certaineª Leuiteª soiourningª° on the sideª of mountª Ephraim,ª who tookeª° to him a concubineªª out of Bethlehem Iudah.ªª¹

And there was a Levite sojourning in the sides of mount Ephraim, and he took to himself a concubine from Bethlehem{gr.Bethleem} Judah{gr.Juda}.

And it came to pass¹ in those¹ days,ª when [there was] no¹ kingª in Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,ª that there was¹ a certainª Lëwî לֵוִיª sojourningª° on the sideª of mountª ´Efrayim אֶפרַיִם,ª who tookª° to him a concubineªª out of Bêŧ Leçem Yæhûđà בֵּית־לֶחֶם־יְהוּדָה.ªª¹
