And they were [left], to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of Jehovah, which he commanded their fathers by Moses.

And they were¹ to proveª°¹ Israelª by them, to knowª° whether they would hearkenª° unto¹ the commandmentsª of the LORD,ª which¹ he commandedª°¹ their fathersª by the handª of Moses.ª

And they were¹ to prooueª°¹ Israelª by them, to knowª° whether they would hearkenª° vnto¹ the Commandementsª of the LORD,ª which¹ hee commaundedª°¹ their fathersª by the handª of Moses.ª

And [this] was done in order to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would obey the commands of the Lord, which he charged their fathers by the hand of Mosheh{gr.Moses}.

And they were¹ to proveª°¹ Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלª by them, to knowª° whether they would hearkenª° unto¹ the commandmentsª of Yähwè יָהוֶה,ª which¹ he commandedª°¹ their fathersª by the handª of Möšè מֹשֶׁה.ª
