And if it seem evil unto you to serve Jehovah, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Jehovah.

And if¹ it seem evilª° unto you²¹ to serveª°¹ the LORD,ª chooseª° you this dayª¹ whom²¹ ye will serve;ª° whether¹¹ the godsª which¹ your fathersª servedª° that¹ [were] on the other sideª of the flood,ª or¹¹ the godsª of the Amorites,ª in whose landª ye¹ dwell:ª° but as for me¹ and my house,ª we will serveª°¹ the LORD.ª

And if¹ it seeme euillª° vnto you²¹ to serueª°¹ the LORD,ª chooseª° you this dayª¹ whome²¹ you will serue,ª° whether¹¹ the godsª which¹ your fathersª seruedª° that¹ were on the other sideª of the flood,ª or¹¹ the godsª of the Amorites,ª in whose landeª ye¹ dwell:ª° but as for mee¹ and my house,ª we will serueª°¹ the LORD.ª

But if it seem not good to you to serve the Lord, choose to yourselves this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods of your fathers that were on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, among whom ye dwell upon their land: but I and my house will serve the Lord, for he is holy.
