Now therefore give me this hill-country, whereof Jehovah spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakim were there, and cities great and fortified: it may be that Jehovah will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as Jehovah spake.

Now¹ therefore giveª° me¹ this¹ mountain,ª whereof¹ the LORDª spakeª° in that¹ day;ª for¹ thou¹ heardestª° in that¹ dayª how¹ the Anakimsª [were] there,¹ and [that] the citiesª [were] greatª [and] fenced:ª° if¹ so be² the LORDª [will be] withª me, then I shall be able to drive them out,ª° as¹ the LORDª said.ª°

Now¹ therefore giueª° mee¹ this¹ mountaine,ª whereof¹ the LORDª spakeª° in that¹ day,ª (for¹ thou¹ heardestª° in that¹ dayª how¹ the Anakimsª [were] there,¹ and [that] the citiesª [were] greatª [and] fenced)ª° if¹ so be² the LORDª will be withª me, then I shall bee able to driue them out,ª° as¹ the LORDª said.ª°

And now I ask of thee this mountain, as the Lord said in that day; for thou heardest this word on that day; and now the Anakim{gr.Enakim} are there, cities great and strong: if then the Lord should be with me, I will utterly destroy them, as the Lord said to me.

Now¹ therefore giveª° me¹ this¹ mountain,ª whereof¹ Yähwè יָהוֶהª spakeª° in that¹ day;ª for¹ thou¹ heardestª° in that¹ dayª how¹ the `Ánäkîm עֲנָקִיםª [were] there,¹ and [that] the citiesª [were] greatª [and] fenced:ª° if¹ so be² Yähwè יָהוֶהª [will be] withª me, then I shall be able to drive them out,ª° as¹ Yähwè יָהוֶהª said.ª°
