And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?

And it came to pass,¹ when Joshuaª was¹ by Jericho,ª that he lifted upª° his eyesª and looked,ª° and, behold,¹ there stoodª° a manª over against¹ him with his swordª drawnª° in his hand:ª and Joshuaª went²°¹ unto him,¹ and saidª° unto him, [Art] thou¹ for us, or¹ for our adversaries?ª

And it came to passe¹ when Ioshuaª was¹ by Iericho,ª that he lift vpª° his eyes,ª and looked,ª° and beholde,¹ there stoodª° a manª ouer against¹ him, with his swordª dawenª° in his hand:ª and Ioshuaª went²°¹ vnto him,¹ and saidª° vnto him, Art thou¹ for vs, or¹ for our aduersaries?ª

And it came to pass when Joshua{gr.Jesus} was in Jericho, that he looked up with his eyes and saw a man standing before him, and [there was] a drawn sword in his hand; and Joshua{gr.Jesus} drew near and said to him, Art thou for us or on the side of our enemies?

And it came to pass,¹ when Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַª was¹ by Yærîçô יְרִיחוֹ,ª that he lifted upª° his eyesª and looked,ª° and, behold,¹ there stoodª° a manª over against¹ him with his swordª drawnª° in his hand:ª and Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַª went²°¹ unto him,¹ and saidª° unto him, [Art] thou¹ for us, or¹ for our adversaries?ª
