And Jehovah said unto Moses, Take all the chiefs of the people, and hang them up unto Jehovah before the sun, that the fierce anger of Jehovah may turn away from Israel.

And the LORDª saidª° unto¹ Moses,ª Takeª°¹ all¹ the headsª of the people,ª and hang them upª°¹ before² the LORDª against¹ the sun,ª that the fierceª angerª of the LORDª may be turned awayª° from Israel.ª¹

And the Lord said to Mosheh{gr.Moses}, Take all the princes of the people, and make them examples [of judgment] for the Lord in the face of the sun, and the anger of the Lord shall be turned away from Israel.
