2 John 1

1 He exhorteth a certain honourable matron, and her children, to persevere in Christian love and belief, 8 lest they lose the reward of their former profession: 10 and to have nothing to do with those seducers that bring not the true doctrine of Christ Jesus.

1:1 The elder 4245 to the chosen 1588 lady 2959 and her children 5043, whom 3739 I love 25 in truth 225; and not only 3441 I, but also 2532 all 3956 who know 1097 the truth 225,

1:2 for the sake 1223 of the truth 225 which abides 3306 in us and will be with us forever 165:

1:3 Grace 5485, mercy 1656 [and] peace 1515 will be with us, from God 2316 the Father 3962 and from Jesus 2424 Christ 5547, the Son 5207 of the Father 3962, in truth 225 and love 26.

1:4 ¶ I was very 3029 glad 5463 to find 2147 [some] of your children 5043 walking 4043 in truth 225, just 2531a as we have received 2983 commandment 1785 [to do] from the Father 3962.

1:5 Now 3568 I ask 2065 you, lady 2959, not as though [I were] writing 1125 to you a new 2537 commandment 1785, but the one which 3739 we have had 2192 from the beginning 746, that we love 25 one 240 another 240.

1:6 And this 3778 is love 26, that we walk 4043 according 2596 to His commandments 1785. This 3778 is the commandment 1785, just 2531a as you have heard 191 from the beginning 746, that you should walk 4043 in it.

1:7 ¶ For many 4183 deceivers 4108 have gone 1831 out into the world 2889, those 3588 who do not acknowledge 3670 Jesus 2424 Christ 5547 [as] coming 2064 in the flesh 4561. This 3778 is the deceiver 4108 and the antichrist 500.

1:8 Watch 991 yourselves 1438, that you do not lose 622 what 3739 we have accomplished 2038b, but that you may receive 618 a full 4134 reward 3408.

1:9 Anyone 3956 who goes 4254 too 4254 far 4254 and does not abide 3306 in the teaching 1322 of Christ 5547, does not have 2192 God 2316; the one who abides 3306 in the teaching 1322, he has 2192 both 2532 the Father 3962 and the Son 5207.

1:10 If 1487 anyone 5100 comes 2064 to you and does not bring 5342 this 3778 teaching 1322, do not receive 2983 him into [your] house 3614, and do not give 3004 him a greeting 5463;

1:11 for the one who gives 3004 him a greeting 5463 participates 2841 in his evil 4190 deeds 2041.

1:12 ¶ Though I have 2192 many 4183 things 4183 to write 1125 to you, I do not want 1014 to [do so] with paper 5489 and ink 3189; but I hope 1679 to come 1096 to you and speak 2980 face 4750 to face 4750, so 2443 that your joy 5479 may be made 4137 full 4137.
