 11:1 ¶ And the princes of the people dwelt in Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the [other] cities.

 11:1 ¶ And the rulersº of the peopleº dweltºº at Jerusalem:º the restº of the peopleº also castºº lots,º to bringºº oneº ofº tenº to dwellºº in Jerusalemº the holyº city,º and nineº partsº [to dwell] in [other] cities.º

 11:2 And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

 11:2 And the peopleº blessedºº allº the men,ºº that willingly offeredºº themselvesº to dwellºº at Jerusalem.º

 11:3 ¶ Now these are the chiefs of the province that dwelt in Jerusalem: but in the cities of Judah dwelt every one in his possession in their cities, [to wit], Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon's servants.

 11:3 ¶ Now theseº [are] the chiefº of the provinceº thatº dweltºº in Jerusalem:º but in the citiesº of Judahº dweltºº every oneº in his possessionº in their cities,º [to wit], Israel,º the priests,º and the Levites,º and the Nethinims,º and the childrenº of Solomon'sº servants.º

 11:4 And in Jerusalem dwelt certain of the children of Judah, and of the children of Benjamin. Of the children of Judah: Athaiah the son of Uzziah, the son of Zechariah, the son of Amariah, the son of Shephatiah, the son of Mahalalel, of the children of Perez;

 11:4 And at Jerusalemº dweltºº [certain] of the childrenºº of Judah,º and of the childrenºº of Benjamin.º Of the childrenºº of Judah;º Athaiahº the sonº of Uzziah,º the sonº of Zechariah,º the sonº of Amariah,º the sonº of Shephatiah,º the sonº of Mahalaleel,º of the childrenºº of Perez;º

 11:5 and Maaseiah the son of Baruch, the son of Col-hozeh, the son of Hazaiah, the son of Adaiah, the son of Joiarib, the son of Zechariah, the son of the Shilonite.

 11:5 And Maaseiahº the sonº of Baruch,º the sonº of Colhozeh,º the sonº of Hazaiah,º the sonº of Adaiah,º the sonº of Joiarib,º the sonº of Zechariah,º the sonº of Shiloni.ºº

 11:6 All the sons of Perez that dwelt in Jerusalem were four hundred threescore and eight valiant men.

 11:6 Allº the sonsº of Perezº that dweltºº at Jerusalemº [were] fourº hundredº threescoreº and eightº valiantº men.ºº

 11:7 And these are the sons of Benjamin: Sallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Joed, the son of Pedaiah, the son of Kolaiah, the son of Maaseiah, the son of Ithiel, the son of Jeshaiah.

 11:7 And theseº [are] the sonsº of Benjamin;º Salluº the sonº of Meshullam,º the sonº of Joed,º the sonº of Pedaiah,º the sonº of Kolaiah,º the sonº of Maaseiah,º the sonº of Ithiel,º the sonº of Jesaiah.º

 11:8 And after him Gabbai, Sallai, nine hundred twenty and eight.

 11:9 And Joel the son of Zichri was their overseer; and Judah the son of Hassenuah was second over the city.

 11:9 And Joelº the sonº of Zichriº [was] their overseer:ºº and Judahº the sonº of Senuahº [was] secondº overº the city.º

 11:10 Of the priests: Jedaiah the son of Joiarib, Jachin,

 11:11 Seraiah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, the ruler of the house of God,

 11:11 Seraiahº the sonº of Hilkiah,º the sonº of Meshullam,º the sonº of Zadok,º the sonº of Meraioth,º the sonº of Ahitub,º [was] the rulerº of the houseº of God.º

 11:12 and their brethren that did the work of the house, eight hundred twenty and two; and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashhur, the son of Malchijah,

 11:12 And their brethrenº that didºº the workº of the houseº [were] eightº hundredº twentyº and two:º and Adaiahº the sonº of Jeroham,º the sonº of Pelaliah,º the sonº of Amzi,º the sonº of Zechariah,º the sonº of Pashur,º the sonº of Malchiah,º

 11:13 and his brethren, chiefs of fathers' [houses], two hundred forty and two; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer,

 11:13 And his brethren,º chiefº of the fathers,º twoº hundredº fortyº and two:º and Amashaiº the sonº of Azareel,º the sonº of Ahasai,º the sonº of Meshillemoth,º the sonº of Immer,º

 11:14 and their brethren, mighty men of valor, a hundred twenty and eight; and their overseer was Zabdiel, the son of Haggedolim.

 11:14 And their brethren,º mighty menº of valour,º an hundredº twentyº and eight:º and their overseerºº [was] Zabdiel,º the sonº of [one of] the greatº men.º

 11:15 And of the Levites: Shemaiah the son of Hasshub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Bunni;

 11:15 Also ofº the Levites:º Shemaiahº the sonº of Hashub,º the sonº of Azrikam,º the sonº of Hashabiah,º the sonº of Bunni;º

 11:16 and Shabbethai and Jozabad, of the chiefs of the Levites, who had the oversight of the outward business of the house of God;

 11:16 And Shabbethaiº and Jozabad,º of the chiefºº of the Levites,º [had] the oversightº of the outwardº businessº of the houseº of God.º

 11:17 and Mattaniah the son of Mica, the son of Zabdi, the son of Asaph, who was the chief to begin the thanksgiving in prayer, and Bakbukiah, the second among his brethren; and Abda the son of Shammua, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun.

 11:17 And Mattaniahº the sonº of Micha,ºº the sonº of Zabdi,º the sonº of Asaph,º [was] the principalº to beginº the thanksgivingºº in prayer:º and Bakbukiahº the secondº among his brethren,ºº and Abdaº the sonº of Shammua,º the sonº of Galal,º the sonº of Jeduthun.º

 11:18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred fourscore and four.

 11:19 Moreover the porters, Akkub, Talmon, and their brethren, that kept watch at the gates, were a hundred seventy and two.

 11:20 ¶ And the residue of Israel, of the priests, the Levites, were in all the cities of Judah, every one in his inheritance.

 11:21 But the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel: and Ziha and Gishpa were over the Nethinim.

 11:21 But the Nethinimsº dweltºº in Ophel:º and Zihaº and Gispaº [were] overº the Nethinims.º

 11:22 The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, over the business of the house of God.

 11:22 The overseerº also of the Levitesº at Jerusalemº [was] Uzziº the sonº of Bani,º the sonº of Hashabiah,º the sonº of Mattaniah,º the sonº of Micha.º Of the sonsºº of Asaph,º the singersºº [were] overº the businessº of the houseº of God.º

 11:23 For there was a commandment from the king concerning them, and a settled provision for the singers, as every day required.

 11:23 Forº [it was] the king'sº commandmentº concerningº them, that a certain portionº should be forº the singers,ºº dueº for every day.º

 11:24 And Pethahiah the son of Meshezabel, of the children of Zerah the son of Judah, was at the king's hand in all matters concerning the people.

 11:24 And Pethahiahº the sonº of Meshezabeel,º of the childrenºº of Zerahº the sonº of Judah,º [was] at the king'sº handº in allº mattersº concerning the people.º

 11:25 And as for the villages, with their fields, some of the children of Judah dwelt in Kiriath-arba and the towns thereof, and in Dibon and the towns thereof, and in Jekabzeel and the villages thereof,

 11:25 And forº the villages,º with their fields,º [some] of the childrenºº of Judahº dweltºº at Kirjatharba,º and [in] the villagesº thereof, and at Dibon,º and [in] the villagesº thereof, and at Jekabzeel,º and [in] the villagesº thereof,

 11:26 and in Jeshua, and in Moladah, and Beth-pelet,

 11:26 And at Jeshua,º and at Moladah,º and at Bethphelet,º

 11:27 and in Hazar-shual, and in Beer-sheba and the towns thereof,

 11:27 And at Hazarshual,º and at Beersheba,º and [in] the villagesº thereof,

 11:28 and in Ziklag, and in Meconah and in the towns thereof,

 11:28 And at Ziklag,º and at Mekonah,º and in the villagesº thereof,

 11:29 and in En-rimmon, and in Zorah, and in Jarmuth,

 11:29 And at Enrimmon,º and at Zareah,º and at Jarmuth,º

 11:30 Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and the fields thereof, Azekah and the towns thereof. So they encamped from Beer-sheba unto the valley of Hinnom.

 11:30 Zanoah,º Adullam,º and [in] their villages,º at Lachish,º and the fieldsº thereof, at Azekah,º and [in] the villagesº thereof. And they dweltºº from Beershebaºº untoº the valleyº of Hinnom.º

 11:31 The children of Benjamin also [dwelt] from Geba [onward], at Michmash and Aija, and at Beth-el and the towns thereof,

 11:31 The childrenº also of Benjaminº from Gebaºº [dwelt] at Michmash,º and Aija,º and Bethel,º and [in] their villages,º

 11:32 at Anathoth, Nob, Ananiah,

 11:32 [And] at Anathoth,º Nob,º Ananiah,º

 11:33 Hazor, Ramah, Gittaim,

 11:33 Hazor,º Ramah,º Gittaim,º

 11:34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

 11:35 Lod, and Ono, the valley of craftsmen.

 11:36 And of the Levites, certain courses in Judah [were joined] to Benjamin.

 11:36 And ofº the Levitesº [were] divisionsº [in] Judah,º [and] in Benjamin.º
