Hereby shall we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our heart before him:

Andª herebyªª we knowª° thatª we areª° ofª the¹ truth,ª andª shall assureª° ourª heartsª beforeª him.ª

Andª herebyªª wee knowª° thatª wee areª° ofª the¹ trueth,ª andª shall assureª° ourª heartsª beforeª him.ª

And by this we make known that we are of the truth, and before that he cometh we make confident our hearts.

And by this, we recognize that we are of the truth; and, before he shall come, we make our hearts confident.

Ἐν τούτῳ γνωσόμεθα ὅτι ἐκ τῆς ἀληθείας ἐσμέν, καὶ ἔμπροσθεν αὐτοῦ πείσομεν τὴν καρδίαν ἡμῶν

In unto-the-one-this we-shall-acquaint to-which-a-one out of-the-one of-an-un-secluding-of we-be, and in-toward-from of-it we-shall-conduce to-the-one to-a-heart of-us,
