For neither at any time were we found using words of flattery, as ye know, nor a cloak of covetousness, God is witness;

For never have we used flattering speech, as you know, nor for an occasion of covetousness, Aloha witnesseth.

For at no time have we used flattering speech; as ye know; nor a cloak of cupidity, God is witness.

οὔτε γάρ ποτε ἐν λόγῳ κολακίας ἐγενήθημεν, καθὼς οἴδατε, οὔτε προφάσει πλεονεξίας, θεὸς μάρτυς,

Not-also therefore whither-also in unto-a-forthee of-a-flattering-unto we-were-became, down-as ye-had-come-to-see, not-also unto-a-manifesting-before of-a-holding-beyond-unto, a-Deity a-witness,
