because to you it hath been granted in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer in his behalf:

Forª unto youª it is givenª° in the behalfª of Christ,ª notª onlyª to believeª° onª him,ª butª alsoª to sufferª° for²° his sake;ªª

And this from Aloha hath been given to you, not only believing to believe in the Meshiha, but also for his sake to suffer,

And this is given to you by God, that ye not only really believe in the Messiah, but also that ye suffer on his account;
