Haue ye sufferedª° so many thingsª in vaine?ª If¹ it be yetª² in vaine.ª

And all these have you borne in vain? But would it be in vain?

And have ye borne all these things in vain? And I would, it were in vain!

τοσαῦτα ἐπάθετε εἰκῇ; εἴ γε καὶ εἰκῇ.
