We are not again commending ourselves unto you, but [speak] as giving you occasion of glorying on our behalf, that ye may have wherewith to answer them that glory in appearance, and not in heart.

Forª we commendª° notª ourselvesª againª unto you,ª butª giveª° youª occasionª to gloryª on²° our² behalf,ª¹ thatª ye may haveª° somewhat toª [answer] them which gloryª° inª appearance,ª andª notª in heart.ª

Forª we commendª° notª our seluesª againeª vnto you,ª butª giueª° youª occasionª to gloryª on²° our² behalfe,ª¹ thatª you may haueª° somewhat [toª answere] them, which gloryª° inª appearance,ª andª notª in heart.ª

For we commend not ourselves again to you, but we give you cause to be boastful of us to them who in appearance boast, but not in heart.

We do not again laud ourselves to you; but we give you occasion to glory in us, to them who glory in appearance and not in heart.

οὐ πάλιν ἑαυτοὺς συνιστάνομεν ὑμῖν, ἀλλὰ ἀφορμὴν διδόντες ὑμῖν καυχήματος ὑπὲρ ἡμῶν, ἵνα ἔχητε πρὸς τοὺς ἐν προσώπῳ καυχωμένους καὶ μὴ ἐν καρδίᾳ.

Not unto-furthered to-selves we-stand-together unto-ye, other to-a-cording-off giving unto-ye of-a-boasting-to over of-us, so ye-might-hold toward to-the-ones in unto-looked-toward to-boasting-unto and lest in unto-a-heart.
