So also ye, unless ye utter by the tongue speech easy to understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye will be speaking into the air.

Soª likewiseª ye,ª exceptª ye utterª° byª the¹ tongueª wordsª easy to be understood,ª howª shall it be knownª° what is spoken?ª° forª ye shall²° speakª°¹ intoª the air.ª

Soª likewiseª you,ª exceptª ye vtterª° byª the¹ tongueª wordsª easie to be vnderstood,ª howª shall it be knowenª° what is spoken?ª° forª ye shall²° speakeª°¹ intoª the aire.ª

So you also, if you speak the word in a tongue, and there be no interpretation, how will it be known what you say? Will you not be as if speaking with the air?

So likewise if ye utter a discourse in a tongue, and there is no interpretation given, how will it be known what ye have said? Ye will have been as if ye spoke into the air.

οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς διὰ τῆς γλώσσης ἐὰν μὴ εὔσημον λόγον δῶτε, πῶς γνωσθήσεται τὸ λαλούμενον; ἔσεσθε γὰρ εἰς ἀέρα λαλοῦντες.

Unto-the-one-this and ye through of-the-one of-a-tongue if-ever lest to-goodly-signified-of to-a-forthee ye-might-have-had-given, unto-whither it-shall-be-acquainted the-one being-spoken-unto? Ye-shall-be therefore into to-an-air speaking-unto.
