But he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power as touching in his own heart, to keep his own virgin [daughter], shall do well.

Neverthelessª heª that standethª°° stedfastª inª his heart,ª havingª° noª necessity,ª butª hathª° powerª overª his ownª will,ª andª hath²° soª decreedª° inª his²¹ heartª that he will keepª° hisª virgin,ª doethª° well.ª

Neuerthelesse,ª heeª that standethª°° stedfastª inª his heart,ª hauingª° noª necessitie,ª butª hathª° powerª ouerª his owneª will,ª andª hath²° soª decreedª° inª his²¹ heartª that he will keepeª° hisª virgin,ª doethª° well.ª

But he who hath firmly decided in his own mind, and nothing constraineth him, and (who hath) power in his will, and thus judgeth in his heart, that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.

But he who hath firmly determined in his own mind, and nothing compelleth him, and he can act his own pleasure, and he so judgeth in his heart, that he keep his maiden [daughter], he doeth commendably.

ὃς δὲ ἕστηκεν ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἑδραῖος, μὴ ἔχων ἀνάγκην, ἐξουσίαν δὲ ἔχει περὶ τοῦ ἰδίου θελήματος, καὶ τοῦτο κέκρικεν ἐν τῇ ἰδίᾳ καρδίᾳ, τηρεῖν τὴν ἑαυτοῦ παρθένον, καλῶς ποιήσει:

Which moreover it-had-come-to-stand in unto-the-one unto-a-heart of-it seat-belonged, lest holding to-an-arming-up, to-a-being-out-unto moreover it-holdeth about of-the-one of-private-belonged of-a-determining-to, and to-the-one-this it-had-come-to-separate in unto-the-one unto-private-belonged unto-a-heart, to-keep-unto to-the-one of-self to-a-maiden, unto-seemly it-shall-do-unto;
