and saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good tidings, that ye should turn from these vain things unto a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that in them is:

Andª saying,ª° Sirs,ª whyª do¹ ye²° these things?²¹ Weª alsoª areª° menª of like passionsª with you,ª and preachª° unto youª that ye should turnª° fromª these²¹ vanitiesª untoª the¹ livingª° God,ª whichª madeª° heaven,ª andª earth,ª andª the¹ sea,ª andª all thingsª that¹ are therein:ªª

Andª saying,ª° Sirs,ª Whyª doe¹ yee²° these things?²¹ Weeª alsoª areª° menª of like passionsª with you,ª and preachª° vnto you,ª that ye should turneª° fromª these²¹ vanities,ª vntoª the¹ liuingª° God,ª whichª madeª° heauenª andª earth,ª andª the¹ sea,ª andª all thingsª that¹ are therein.ªª

And they cried, and said, Men, what do you? We also are children of men liable to sufferings like you, (and) who preach to you that from these vanities you should turn unto Aloha the living, who made heaven and earth, and the seas, and all that is in them:

and called out, and said: Men, what do ye? We also are frail mortals like yourselves, who preach to you, that ye should turn from these useless things, unto the living God, who made heaven and earth and seas, and whatever is in them.

καὶ λέγοντες Ἄνδρες, τί ταῦτα ποιεῖτε; καὶ ἡμεῖς ὁμοιοπαθεῖς ἐσμὲν ὑμῖν ἄνθρωποι, εὐαγγελιζόμενοι ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ τούτων τῶν ματαίων ἐπιστρέφειν ἐπὶ θεὸν ζῶντα ὃς ἐποίησεν τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ πάντα τὰ ἐν αὐτοῖς:

and forthing, Men, to-what-one to-the-ones-these ye-do-unto? And we along-experience-belonged we-be unto-ye mankinds, goodly-messaging-to to-ye off of-the-ones-these of-the-ones of-folly-belonged to-beturn-upon upon to-a-Deity to-lifing-unto which it-did-unto to-the-one to-a-sky and to-the-one to-a-soil and to-the-one to-a-sea and to-all to-the-ones in unto-them;
