And though they found no cause of death [in him], yet asked they of Pilate that he should be slain.

καὶ μηδεμίαν αἰτίαν θανάτου εὑρόντες ᾐτήσαντο Πειλᾶτον ἀναιρεθῆναι αὐτόν:

and to-lest-moreover-one to-an-appealing-unto of-a-death having-had-found they-appealed-unto to-a-Peilatos to-have-been-lifted-up to-it;
