They lead Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Praetorium: and it was early; and they themselves entered not into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the passover.

Thenª led¹ theyª° Jesusª fromª Caiaphasª untoª the¹ hall of judgment:ª andª it wasª° early;ª andª they¹ themselves² wentª° notª intoª the¹ judgment hall,ª lestª they should be defiled;ª° butª thatª they might eatª° the¹ passover.ª

NOW they led Jeshu from Kaiapha into the praetorium, and it was early. But they would not enter the praetorium, that they might not be defiled, until they should have eaten the petscha.

And they led Jesus from the presence of Caiaphas unto the Praetorium; and it was morning. But they did not enter the Praetorium, lest they should defile themselves before they had eaten the passover.

Ἄγουσιν οὖν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἀπὸ τοῦ Καιάφα εἰς τὸ πραιτώριον: ἦν δὲ πρωί: καὶ αὐτοὶ οὐκ εἰσῆλθον εἰς τὸ πραιτώριον, ἵνα μὴ μιανθῶσιν ἀλλὰ φάγωσιν τὸ πάσχα.

They-leadeth accordingly to-the-one to-an-Iesous off of-the-one of-a-Kaiafas into to-the-one to-a-praitorion; it-was moreover unto-early; and them not they-had-came-into into to-the-one to-a-praitorian, so lest they-might-have-been-stain-belonged, other they-might-have-had-devoured to-the-one to-a-Pascha.
