When therefore he said unto them, I am [he], they went backward, and fell to the ground.

As soon² then² as¹¹ he had saidª° unto them,ª² Iª amª° [he], they wentª° backward,ªª andª fellª° to the ground.ª

Assoone² then² as¹¹ he had saidª° vnto them,ª² Iª amª° he, they wentª° backeward,ªª andª fellª° to the ground.ª

And when Jeshu had said to them, I am, they went backward and fell upon the ground.

And when Jesus said to them, I am he, they drew back and fell upon the ground.

ὡς οὖν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἐγώ εἰμι, ἀπῆλθαν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω καὶ ἔπεσαν χαμαί.

As accordingly it-had-said unto-them, I I-be, they-came-off into to-the-ones aback-unto-which and they-fell unto-ground.
