Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot give fruits of itself if it abide not in the vine, so also cannot you, if you abide not in me.

μείνατε ἐν ἐμοί, κἀγὼ ἐν ὑμῖν. καθὼς τὸ κλῆμα οὐ δύναται καρπὸν φέρειν ἀφ' ἑαυτοῦ ἐὰν μὴ μένῃ ἐν τῇ ἀμπέλῳ, οὕτως οὐδὲ ὑμεῖς ἐὰν μὴ ἐν ἐμοὶ μένητε.

ye-should-have-stayed in unto-ME, and-I in unto-ye. Down-as the-one a-branch not it-ableth to-a-fruit to-bear off of-self if-ever lest it-might-stay in unto-the-one unto-a-vine, unto-the-one-this not-moreover ye if-ever lest in unto-ME ye-might-stay.
