The multitude therefore answered him, We have heard out of the law that the Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?

The¹ peopleª answeredª° him,ª Weª have heardª° out ofª the¹ lawª thatª Christª abidethª° for² ever:ª¹ andª howª sayestª° thou,ª² The¹ Sonª of manª mustª° be lifted up?ª° whoª isª° thisª Sonª of man?ª

The¹ peopleª answeredª° him,ª Weª haue heardª° out ofª the¹ Law,ª thatª Christª abidethª° for² euer:ª¹ andª howª sayestª° thou,ª² The¹ Sonneª of manª mustª° bee lift vp?ª° Whoª isª° thisª Sonneª of man?ª

The people said to him, We have heard from the law that the Meshicha for ever abideth: how sayest thou that the Son of man is to be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

The multitude said to him: We have heard from the law, that the Messiah abideth for ever: [and] how sayest thou, that the Son of man is to be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

ἀπεκρίθη οὖν αὐτῷ ὁ ὄχλος Ἡμεῖς ἠκούσαμεν ἐκ τοῦ νόμου ὅτι ὁ χριστὸς μένει εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα, καὶ πῶς λέγεις σὺ ὅτι δεῖ ὑψωθῆναι τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου; τίς ἐστιν οὗτος ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου;

It-was-separated-off accordingly unto-it, the-one a-crowd, We we-heard out of-the-one of-a-parcelee to-which-a-one the-one Anointed it-stayeth into to-the-one to-an-age and unto-whither thou-forth, thou, to-which-a-one it-bindeth to-have-been-en-overed to-the-one to-a-Son of-the-one of-a-mankind? What-one it-be the-one-this the-one a-Son of-the-one of-a-mankind?
