The man answered and said unto them, Why, herein is the marvel, that ye know not whence he is, and [yet] he opened mine eyes.

The¹ manª answeredª° andª saidª° unto them,ª Whyª hereinªª isª° a marvellous thing,ª thatª yeª knowª° notª from whenceª he is,ª° andª [yet] he hath openedª° mineª eyes.ª

Answered the man and said to them, At this then we must wonder, that you know not from whence he is, and (yet) mine eyes he hath opened!

The man replied and said to them: In this therefore is [something] to be admired, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he hath opened my eyes.

ἀπεκρίθη ὁ ἄνθρωπος καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἐν τούτῳ γὰρ τὸ θαυμαστόν ἐστιν ὅτι ὑμεῖς οὐκ οἴδατε πόθεν ἐστίν, καὶ ἤνοιξέν μου τοὺς ὀφθαλμούς.

It-was-separated-off the-one a-mankind and it-had-said unto-them, In unto-the-one-this therefore the-one marveled-to it-be to-which-a-one ye not ye-had-come-to-see whither-from it-be, and it-opened-up of-me to-the-ones to-eyes.
