Many therefore of his disciples, when the heard [this], said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it?

Manyª thereforeª ofª hisª disciples,ª when they had heardª° [this], said,ª° Thisª isª° an hardª saying;ª whoª canª° hearª° it?ª

And many of his disciples who heard said, A hard word is this: who can hear it?

And many of his disciples who heard [him], said: This is a hard speech, who can hear it.

Πολλοὶ οὖν ἀκούσαντες ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν αὐτοῦ εἶπαν Σκληρός ἐστιν ὁ λόγος οὗτος: τίς δύναται αὐτοῦ ἀκούειν;
