Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner.

Thenª answeredª° Jesusª andª saidª° unto them,ª Verily,ª verily,ª I sayª° unto you,ª The¹ Sonª canªª° doª° nothingª ofª himself,ª butª whatª he seethª° the¹ Fatherª do:ª° forª what things soeverªª heª doeth,ª° theseª alsoª doethª° the¹ Sonª likewise.ª

Thenª answeredª° Iesus,ª andª saideª° vnto them,ª Uerily,ª verilyª I sayª° vnto you,ª The¹ sonneª canªª° doeª° nothingª ofª himselfe,ª butª whatª he seethª° the¹ Fatherª doe:ª° forª what things soeuerªª heª doeth,ª° theseª alsoª dothª° the¹ sonneª likewise.ª

BUT Jeshu answered and said to them, Amen, amen, I say to you, The Son cannot do any thing from the will of himself, but that which he seeth the Father do. For those which the Father doeth, these also the Son likewise doeth.

And Jesus answered, and said to them: Verily, verily, I say to you: The Son can do nothing, of his own pleasure, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things the Father doeth, these in like manner doeth the Son.

Ἀπεκρίνατο οὖν [ὁ Ἰησοῦς] καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐ δύναται ὁ υἱὸς ποιεῖν ἀφ' ἑαυτοῦ οὐδὲν ἂν μή τι βλέπῃ τὸν πατέρα ποιοῦντα: ἃ γὰρ ἂν ἐκεῖνος ποιῇ, ταῦτα καὶ ὁ υἱὸς ὁμοίως ποιεῖ.

It-separated-off accordingly, [the-one an-Iesous,] and it-was-forthing unto-them, Amen amen I-forth unto-ye, not it-ableth, the-one a-Son, to-do-unto off of-self to-not-moreover-one ever lest to-a-one it-might-view to-the-one to-a-Father to-doing-unto; to-which therefore ever the-one-thither it-might-do-unto, to-the-ones-these and the-one a-Son unto-along-belonged it-doeth-unto.
