If thou art the Christ, tell us. But he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

²¹ Artª° thouª the¹ Christ?ª tellª° us.ª Andª he saidª° unto them,ª Ifª I tellª° you,ª ye will²° notª believe:ª°

²¹ Artª° thouª the¹ Christ?ª Tellª° vs.ª Andª hee saidª° vnto them,ª Ifª I tellª° you,ª you will²° notª beleeue.ª°

saying to him, Art thou the Meshicha? tell us. He saith to them, Should I tell you, you would not believe me;

and said to him: If thou art the Messiah, tell us. He said to them: If I tell you, ye will not believe in me.

Εἰ σὺ εἶ ὁ χριστός, εἰπὸν ἡμῖν. εἶπεν δὲ αὐτοῖς Ἐὰν ὑμῖν εἴπω οὐ μὴ πιστεύσητε:

If thou thou-be the-one Anointed, thou-should-have-said unto-us. It-had-said moreover unto-them, If-ever unto-ye I-might-have-had-said not lest ye-might-have-trusted-of;
