And the scribes and the chief priests sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; and they feared the people: for they perceived that he spake this parable against them.

Andª the¹ chief priestsª andª the¹ scribesª the sameª² hourª soughtª° to layª° handsª onª him;ª andª they fearedª° the¹ people:ª forª they perceivedª° thatª he had spokenª° thisª parableª againstª them.ª

But the chief priests and Sophree sought to lay hands on him in that very hour; but they feared the people, for they knew that concerning them(selves) he had spoken this parable.

And the chief priests and Scribes sought to lay hands on him, at that time; but they were afraid of the people; for they knew, that he spoke this similitude against them.

Καὶ ἐζήτησαν οἱ γραμματεῖς καὶ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς ἐπιβαλεῖν ἐπ' αὐτὸν τὰς χεῖρας ἐν αὐτῇ τῇ ὥρᾳ, καὶ ἐφοβήθησαν τὸν λαόν, ἔγνωσαν γὰρ ὅτι πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἶπεν τὴν παραβολὴν ταύτην.

And they-sought-unto, the-ones letterers-of and the-ones first-sacreders-of, to-have-casted-upon upon to-it to-the-ones to-hands in unto-it unto-the-one unto-an-hour, and they-were-feareed-unto to-the-one to-a-people, they-had-acquainted therefore to-which-a-one toward to-them it-had-said to-the-one to-a-casting-beside to-the-one-this.
