for I say unto you, that many prophets and kings desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

Forª I tellª° you,ª thatª manyª prophetsª andª kingsª have desiredª° to seeª° those things whichª yeª see,ª° andª have²° notª seenª° [them]; andª to hearª° those things whichª ye hear,ª° andª have²° notª heardª° [them].

for I tell you that prophets many and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard.

For I say to you, that many prophets and kings desired to see what ye see, and did not see [it]; and to hear what ye hear, and did not hear [it].

λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν ὅτι πολλοὶ προφῆται καὶ βασιλεῖς ἠθέλησαν ἰδεῖν ἃ ὑμεῖς βλέπετε καὶ οὐκ εἶδαν, καὶ ἀκοῦσαι ἃ ἀκούετε καὶ οὐκ ἤκουσαν.

I-forth therefore unto-ye to-which-a-one much declarers-before and rulers-of they-determined to-have-had-seen to-which ye ye-view and not they-saw, and to-have-heard to-which ye-hear and not they-heard.
