Now when he drew near to the gate of the city, behold, there was carried out one that was dead, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

Nowª whenª he came nighª° to the¹ gateª of the¹ city,ª¹ behold,ª²° there was²° a dead manª° carried out,ª° the onlyª sonª of his²¹ mother,ª andª she²¹ wasª° a widow:ª andª muchª peopleª of the¹ cityª wasª° withª her.ª

Nowª whenª he came nighª° to the¹ gateª of the¹ citie,ª¹ behold,ª²° there was²° a dead manª° caried out,ª° the onelyª sonneª of his²¹ mother,ª andª shee²¹ wasª° a widow:ª andª muchª peopleª of the¹ citieª wasª° withª her.ª

And as he approached the gate of the city, he saw (them) following (one) dead, who was the only born of his mother, and she his mother was a widow: and a great multitude of the people of the city were with her.

And as he approached the gate of the city, he saw a procession bearing a dead man, the only son of his mother, and she a widow; and a great company of the people of the city were with her.

ὡς δὲ ἤγγισεν τῇ πύλῃ τῆς πόλεως, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐξεκομίζετο τεθνηκὼς μονογενὴς υἱὸς τῇ μητρὶ αὐτοῦ, καὶ αὐτὴ ῆν χήρα, καὶ ὄχλος τῆς πόλεως ἱκανὸς ἦν σὺν αὐτῇ.

As moreover it-neared-to unto-the-one unto-a-gate of-the-one of-a-city, and thou-should-have-had-seen, it-was-being-tended-out-to having-had-come-to-die alone-kindreded a-son unto-the-one unto-a-mother of-it, and it it-was bereaved, and a-crowd of-the-one of-a-city ampled it-was together unto-it.
