And even now the axe also lieth at the root of the trees: every tree therefore that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Andª nowª alsoª the¹ axeª is laidª° untoª the¹ rootª of the¹ trees:ª everyª treeª thereforeª which bringeth²° not² forthª°¹ goodª fruitª is hewn down,ª° andª castª° intoª the fire.ª

But, behold, the axe is laid at the root of the trees. Every tree therefore which good fruit maketh not, is cut down and into the fire falleth.

And lo, the ax is put to the root of trees. Every tree therefore that beareth not good fruits, is hewed down, and falleth into the fire.

ἤδη δὲ καὶ ἡ ἀξίνη πρὸς τὴν ῥίζαν τῶν δένδρων κεῖται: πᾶν οὖν δένδρον μὴ ποιοῦν καρπὸν [καλὸν] ἐκκόπτεται καὶ εἰς πῦρ βάλλεται.

Which-then moreover and the-one an-axe toward to-the-one to-a-root of-the-ones of-trees it-situateth; all accordingly a-tree lest doing-unto to-a-fruit [to-seemly] it-be-felled-out and into to-a-fire it-be-casted.
