Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why make ye trial of me? bring me a denarius, that I may see it.

Shall we give,ª° orª shall we notª give?ª° Butª he,¹ knowingª° theirª hypocrisy,ª saidª° unto them,ª Whyª tempt¹ ye²° me?ª bringª° meª a penny,ª thatª I may seeª° [it].

Shall we giue,ª° orª shall we notª giue?ª° Butª he¹ knowingª° theirª hypocrisie,ª saidª° vnto them,ª Whyª tempt¹ yee²° mee?ª Bringª° meª a pennyª thatª I may seeª° it.

But he knew their deceit, and said to them, Why do you tempt me? bring me the dinara, (that) I may see it.

And he knew their wile, and said to them: Why tempt ye me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it.

ὁ δὲ εἰδὼς αὐτῶν τὴν ὑπόκρισιν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Τί με πειράζετε; φέρετέ μοι δηνάριον ἵνα ἴδω.

The-one moreover having-had-come-to-see of-them to-the-one to-a-separating-under, it-had-said unto-them, To-what-one to-me ye-pierce-to? Ye-should-bear unto-me to-a-denarion so I-might-have-had-seen.
