And when they were come, they say unto him, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and carest not for any one; for thou regardest not the person of men, but of a truth teachest the way of God: Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

Andª when they¹ were come,ª° they sayª° unto him,ª Master,ª we knowª° thatª thou artª° true,ª andª²¹ carestª²°¹ forª no man:ª forª thou regardestª° notª the¹ personª² of men,ª butª teachestª° the¹ wayª of Godª inª truth:ª Is it lawfulª° to giveª° tributeª to Caesar,ª orª not?ª

And they came and questioned him: Malphona, we know that thou art true, and that thou bearest not care for man: for thou regardest not the person of the sons of man, but in truth the way of Aloha thou teachest: Is it lawful to give headmoney to Caesar, or not? shall we give, or shall we not give?

And these came, and asked him: Teacher; we know that thou art veracious, and hast no fear of man; for thou regardest not the face of men, but teachest the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to give capitation money to Caesar; or not? Shall we give, or not give?

καὶ ἐλθόντες λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Διδάσκαλε, οἴδαμεν ὅτι ἀληθὴς εἶ καὶ οὐ μέλει σοι περὶ οὐδενός, οὐ γὰρ βλέπεις εἰς πρόσωπον ἀνθρώπων, ἀλλ' ἐπ' ἀληθείας τὴν ὁδὸν τοῦ θεοῦ διδάσκεις: ἔξεστιν δοῦναι κῆνσον Καίσαρι ἢ οὔ; δῶμεν ἢ μὴ δῶμεν;

And having-had-came they-fortheth unto-it, Teaching-speaker, we-had-come-to-see to-which-a-one un-secluded thou-be, and not it-concerneth unto-thee about of-not-moreover-one; not therefore thou-view into to-looked-toward of-mankinds, other upon of-un-secluding-of to-the-one to-a-way of-the-one of-a-Deity; thou-teach it-be-out to-have-had-given to-a-tribute unto-a-Kaisar or not? We-might-have-had-given or lest we-might-have-had-given?
