And he said unto them, Elijah indeed cometh first, and restoreth all things: and how is it written of the Son of man, that he should suffer many things and be set at nought?

He said to them, Elia doth come before, to restore all things; and how it is written concerning the Son of man, that much he should suffer, and be rejected.

He said to them: Elijah [truly] first cometh, to prepare all things: and, as it is written of the Son of man, he will suffer much, and be rejected.

ὁ δὲ ἔφη αὐτοῖς Ἠλείας μὲν ἐλθὼν πρῶτον ἀποκατιστάνει πάντα, καὶ πῶς γέγραπται ἐπὶ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἵνα πολλὰ πάθῃ καὶ ἐξουδενηθῇ;

The-one moreover it-was-declaring unto-them, A-Heleias indeed having-had-came to-most-before it-standeth-down-off to-all, and unto-whither it-had-come-to-be-scribed upon to-the-one to-a-Son of-the-one of-a-mankind so to-much it-might-have-had-experienced and it-might-have-been-not-moreover-oned-out-unto?
