And they asked him, saying, [How is it] that the scribes say that Elijah must first come?

And they asked him, saying, How then say the Sophree that Elia must come before?

And they asked him, and said: Why then do the Scribes say, that Elijah must first come?

καὶ ἐπηρώτων αὐτὸν λέγοντες Ὅτι λέγουσιν οἱ γραμματεῖς ὅτι Ἠλείαν δεῖ ἐλθεῖν πρῶτον;

And they-were-upon-entreating-unto to-it forthing, To-which-a-one they-fortheth, the-ones letterers-of, to-which-a-one to-a-Heleias it-bindeth to-have-had-came to-most-before?
