For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.

Forª whosoeverªª willª° saveª° his²¹ lifeª shall loseª° it;ª butª whosoeverªª shall loseª° his²¹ lifeª for² my sakeª¹ andª the¹ gospel's,ª the sameª shall saveª° it.ª

Forª whosoeuerªª willª° saueª° his²¹ lifeª shall loseª° it,ª butª whosoeuerªª shall loseª° his²¹ lifeª for² my sakeª¹ andª the¹ Gospels,ª the sameª shall saueª° it.ª

For every one who willeth to save his life shall lose it; and every one who shall lose his life on account of me and on account of my gospel, shall save it.

For, whoever will preserve his life, shall lose it; and whoever will lose his life on my account, and on account of my tidings, shall preserve it.

ὃς γὰρ ἐὰν θέλῃ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ψυχὴν σῶσαι ἀπολέσει αὐτήν: ὃς δ' ἂν ἀπολέσει τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἕνεκεν [ἐμοῦ καὶ] τοῦ εὐαγγελίου σώσει αὐτήν.

Which therefore if-ever it-might-determine to-the-one of-self to-a-breathing to-have-saved it-shall-destructeth-off to-it; which moreover ever it-shall-destruct-off to-the-one to-a-breathing of-it in-out-in [of-ME and] of-the-one of-a-goodly-messagelet it-shall-save to-it.
