And Jesus said unto them, Can the sons of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

Andª Jesusª saidª° unto them,ª² Canª°¹ the¹ childrenª of the¹ bridechamberª fast,ª° whileªª the¹ bridegroomª isª° withª them?ª as long asª² they¹ haveª° the¹ bridegroomª withª them,ª they cannotªª° fast.ª°

Andª Iesusª saidª° vnto them,ª² Canª°¹ the¹ childrenª of the¹ bride-chamberª fast,ª° whileªª the¹ Bridegromeª isª° withª them?ª As long asª² they¹ haueª° the¹ Bridegromeª withª them,ª they cannotªª° fast.ª°

Jeshu said to them, Can the sons of the marriage-chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? No;

Jesus said to them: Can the guests of the nuptial chamber fast so long as the bridegroom is with them? No.

καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς Μὴ δύνανται οἱ υἱοὶ τοῦ νυμφῶνος ἐν ᾧ ὁ νυμφίος μετ' αὐτῶν ἐστὶν νηστεύειν; ὅσον χρόνον ἔχουσιν τὸν νυμφίον μετ' αὐτῶν οὐ δύνανται νηστεύειν:

And it-had-said unto-them, the-one an-Iesous, Lest they-ableth, the-ones sons of-the-one of-an-en-briding, in unto-which the-one bride-belonged with of-them it-be to-non-eat-of? To-which-a-which to-an-interim they-hold to-the-one to-bride-belonged with of-them not they-ableth to-not-eat-of.
