And John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting: and they come and say unto him, Why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?

Andª the¹ disciplesª of Iohn,ª andª of¹ the¹ Phariseesª vsed²° to fast;ª°¹ andª they come,ª° andª sayª° vnto him,ª Why¹ doe²²° the¹ disciplesª of Iohn,ª andª of¹ the¹ Phariseesª fast,ª° butª thy²¹ disciplesª fastª° not?ª

Now the disciples of Juchanon and of the Pharishee fasted. And they came and said to him, (While) the disciples of Juchanon and of the Pharishee fast, why do not thy disciples fast?

And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasters; and they came and said to him: Why are the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fasters, and thy disciples fast not?

Καὶ ἦσαν οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰωάνου καὶ οἱ Φαρισαῖοι νηστεύοντες. καὶ ἔρχονται καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Διὰ τί οἱ μαθηταὶ Ἰωάνου καὶ οἱ μαθηταὶ τῶν Φαρισαίων νηστεύουσιν, οἱ δὲ σοὶ [μαθηταὶ] οὐ νηστεύουσιν;

And they-were the-ones learners of-an-Ioanes and the-ones Faris-belonged non-eating-of and they-cometh and they-fortheth unto-it, Through to-what-one the-ones learners of-an-Ioanes and the-ones learners of-the-ones of-Faris-belonged they-non-eat-of, the-ones moreover thine [learners] not they-non-eat-of?
