But Jesus perceiving it said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

Whenª Jesusª understoodª° [it], he saidª° unto them,ª Whyª trouble¹¹ ye²²° the¹ woman?ª forª she hath wroughtª° a goodª workª uponª me.ª

But Jeshu knew, and said to them, Why grieve you the woman? a good work hath she wrought upon me.

But Jesus knew [their dissatisfaction], and said to them: Why trouble ye the woman? She hath performed a good deed towards me.

γνοὺς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Τί κόπους παρέχετε τῇ γυναικί; ἔργον γὰρ καλὸν ἠργάσατο εἰς ἐμέ:

Having-had-acquainted moreover, the-one an-Iesous, it-had-said unto-them, To-what-one to-fells ye-hold-beside unto-the-one unto-a-woman? To-a-work therefore to-seemly it-worked-to into to-ME;
