And I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Butª I sayª° unto you,ª Thatª everyª idleª wordª thatªª menª shall speak,ª° they shall giveª° accountª thereofªª inª the dayª of judgment.ª

But I tell you, that for every useless word which the sons of men shall speak, they must give the answer for it in the day of judgment.

For I say to you, That for every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account of it in the day of judgment.

Λέγω δὲ ὑμῖν ὅτι πᾶν ῥῆμα ἀργὸν ὃ λαλήσουσιν οἱ ἄνθρωποι, ἀποδώσουσιν περὶ αὐτοῦ λόγον ἐν ἡμέρᾳ κρίσεως:

I-forth moreover unto-ye to-which-a-one all an-uttering-to un-worked to-which they-shall-speak-unto, the-ones mankinds, they-shall-give-off about of-it to-a-forthee in unto-a-day of-a-separating;
