Blessed are ye when [men] shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Blessedª are¹ ye,²° whenª [men] shall revileª° you,ª andª persecuteª° [you], andª shall sayª° all manner² of evilªª¹ againstª youª falsely,ª° for my sake.ªª

Blessed are you when they treat you with reviling, and persecute you, and say concerning you every evil word, for my sake, in falsity.

Blessed are ye, when they revile you and persecute you, and speak every evil thing against you, falsely, on my account.

μακάριοί ἐστε ὅταν ὀνειδίσωσιν ὑμᾶς καὶ διώξωσιν καὶ εἴπωσιν πᾶν πονηρὸν καθ' ὑμῶν ψευδόμενοι ἕνεκεν ἐμοῦ:
