For that day is [a day] of the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour and be satiate, and shall drink its fill of their blood; for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, hath a sacrifice in the north country by the river Euphrates.

For this¹ [is] the dayª of the Lordª GODª of hosts,ª a dayª of vengeance,ª that he may avengeª° him of his adversaries:ª¹ and the swordª shall devour,ª° and it shall be satiateª° and made drunkª° with their blood:ª¹ for¹ the Lordª GODª of hostsª hath a sacrificeª in the northª countryª by¹ the riverª Euphrates.ª

And that day [shall be] to the Lord our God a day of vengeance, to take vengeance on his enemies: and the sword of the Lord shall devour, and be glutted, and be drunken with their blood: for the Lord [has] a sacrifice from the land of the north at the river Euphrates.
