Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the children of Ammon, and in Edom, and that were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan;

Likewise¹ when all¹ the Jewsª that¹ [were] in Moab,ª and among the Ammonites,ª¹ and in Edom,ª and that¹ [were] in all¹ the countries,ª heardª° that¹ the kingª of Babylonª had leftª° a remnantª of Judah,ª and that¹ he had setª° over¹ them¹ Gedaliahª the sonª of Ahikamª the sonª of Shaphan;ª

Likewise¹ when all¹ the Iewesª that¹ [were] in Moab,ª and among the Ammonites,ª¹ and in Edom,ª and that¹ [were] in all¹ the countries,ª heardª° that¹ the kingª of Babylonª had leftª° a remnantª of Iudah,ª and that¹ he had setª° ouer¹ them¹ Gedaliahª the sonneª of Ahikamª the sonneª of Shaphan;ª

And all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the children of Ammon, and those [that were] in Edom{gr.Idumea}, and those [that were] in all [the rest of] the country, heard that the king of Babylon [had] granted a remnant to Judah{gr.Juda}, and that he had appointed over them Gedaliah{gr.Godolias} the son of Ahikam{gr.Achicam}.

Likewise¹ when all¹ the Yæhûđîm יְהוּדִיםª that¹ [were] in Mô´äv מוֹאָב,ª and among the `Ammönîm עַמֹּנִים,ª¹ and in ´Éđôm אֱדוֹם,ª and that¹ [were] in all¹ the countries,ª heardª° that¹ the kingª of Bävel בָּבֶלª had leftª° a remnantª of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה,ª and that¹ he had setª° over¹ them¹ Gæđalyà גְּדַליָהª the sonª of ´Áçîkäm אֲחִיקָםª the sonª of Šäfän שָׁפָן;ª
