Then said I, Ah, Lord Jehovah! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the life.

Then saidª° I, Ah,ª Lordª GOD!ª surelyª thou hast greatly²° deceivedª° this¹ peopleª and Jerusalem,ª saying,ª° Ye shall have¹ peace;ª whereas the swordª reachethª° unto¹ the soul.ª

Then saidª° I, Ahª Lordª GOD,ª surelyª thou hast greatly²° deceiuedª° this¹ people,ª and Ierusalem,ª saying,ª° Ye shall haue¹ peace,ª whereas the swordª reachethª° vnto¹ the soule.ª

And I said, O sovereign Lord, verily thou hast deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, There shall be peace; whereas behold, the sword has reached even to their soul.

Then saidª° I, Ah,ª ´Áđönäy אֲדֹנָיª Yähwè יָהוֶה!ª surelyª thou hast greatly²° deceivedª° this¹ peopleª and Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם,ª saying,ª° Ye shall have¹ peace;ª whereas the swordª reachethª° unto¹ the soul.ª
