Therefore he said that he would destroy them, Had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy [them].

So he said that he would have destroyed them, had not Mosheh{gr.Moses} his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn [him] away from the fierceness of his anger, so that he should not destroy them.

Therefore he saidª° that he would destroyª° them, had notª Möšè מֹשֶׁהª his chosenª stoodª° beforeª him in the breach,ª to turn awayª° his wrath,ª lest he should destroyª°¹ [them].
