And they shall answer, Because they forsook Jehovah, the God of their fathers, who brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.

And it shall be answered,ª° Because¹¹ they forsookª°¹ the LORDª Godª of their fathers,ª which¹ brought them forthª° out of the landª¹ of Egypt,ª and laid holdª° on otherª gods,ª and worshippedª° them, and servedª° them: therefore¹¹ hath he broughtª°¹ all¹ this¹ evilª upon¹ them.

And it shalbe answered,ª° Because¹¹ they forsookeª°¹ the LORDª Godª of their fathers,ª which¹ brought them forthª° out of the landª¹ of Egypt,ª and layd holdª° on othersª gods,ª and worshippedª° them, aud seruedª° them: Therefore¹¹ hath hee broughtª°¹ all¹ this¹ euilª vpon¹ them.

And [men] shall say, Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and they attached themselves to other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: and therefore he has brought upon them all this evil.

And it shall be answered,ª° Because¹¹ they forsookª°¹ Yähwè יָהוֶהª ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª of their fathers,ª which¹ brought them forthª° out of the landª¹ of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם,ª and laid holdª° on otherª ´élöhîm אֱלֹהִים,ª and worshippedª° them, and servedª° them: therefore¹¹ hath he broughtª°¹ all¹ this¹ evilª upon¹ them.
