then hear thou from heaven, even from thy dwelling-place, and do according to all that the foreigner calleth to thee for; that all the peoples of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

Then hearª° thou¹ from¹ the heavens,ª [even] from thy dwellingª° place,ª¹ and doª° according to all¹ that¹ the strangerª callethª° to¹ thee for; that¹ all¹ peopleª of the earthª may knowª°¹ thy name,ª and fearª° thee, as [doth] thy peopleª Israel,ª and may knowª° that¹ this¹ houseª which¹ I have builtª° is calledª° by thy name.ª

then shalt thou hearken out of heaven, out of thy prepared dwelling-place, and shalt do according to all that the stranger shall call upon thee for; that all the nations of the earth may know thy name, and that they may fear thee, as thy people Israel [do], and that they may know that thy name is called upon this house which I have built.
