And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it be not to my sorrow! And God granted him that which he requested.

And Godª grantedª° him¹ that which¹ he requested.ª°

And Igabes called on the God of Israel, saying, O that thou wouldest indeed bless me, and enlarge my coasts, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest make me know that thou wilt not grieve me! And God granted him all that he asked.

And Ya`bëx יַעבֵּץª calledª° on the ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,ª saying,ª° Oh thatª thou wouldest bless²° me indeed,ª° and enlargeª°¹ my coast,ª and that thine handª might be¹ with¹ me, and that thou wouldest keepª° [me] from¹ evil,ª that it may not¹ grieveª° me! And ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִיםª grantedª° him¹ that which¹ he requested.ª°
