Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

Forasmuch as I lifted thee up from the earth, and made thee ruler over my people Israel; and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast caused my people Israel to sin, to provoke me with their vanities;

Forasmuch¹¹ as I exaltedª° thee out of¹ the dust,ª and madeª° thee princeª over¹ my peopleª Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל;ª and thou hast walked²°¹ in the wayª of Yorov`äm יָרָבעָם,ª and hast made¹ my peopleª Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵלª to sin,ª° to provoke me to angerª° with their sins;ª
