And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have killed all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead; for by the appointment of Absalom this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar.

And Jonadab,ª the sonª of Shimeahª David'sª brother,ª answeredª° and said,ª° Let not¹ my lordª supposeª° [that] they have slainª°¹ all¹ the young menª the king'sª sons;ª for¹ Amnonª only¹ is dead:ª° for¹ by¹ the appointmentª of Absalomª this hath been¹ determinedª° from the dayª¹ that he forcedª°¹ his sisterª Tamar.ª

And Ionadabª the sonneª of Shimeahª Dauidsª brother,ª answeredª° and said,ª° Let not¹ my lordª supposeª° that they haue slaineª°¹ all¹ the yong menª the Kingsª sonnes;ª for¹ Amnonª onely¹ is dead:ª° for¹ by¹ the appointmentª of Absalomª this hath beene¹ determined,ª° from the dayª¹ that he forcedª°¹ his sisterª Tamar.ª

And Jonadab the son of Samaa brother of David, answered and said, Let not my Lord the king say that he has slain all the young men the sons of the king, for Amnon only of them all is dead; for he was appointed [to death] by the mouth of Absalom{gr.Abessalom} from the day that he humbled his sister Tamar{gr.Themar}.

And Yônäđäv יוֹנָדָב,ª the sonª of Šim`à שִׁמעָהª Däwiđ's דָּוִדª brother,ª answeredª° and said,ª° Let not¹ my ´áđôn אֲדוֹןª supposeª° [that] they have slainª°¹ all¹ the young menª the king'sª sons;ª for¹ ´Amnôn אַמנוֹןª only¹ is dead:ª° for¹ by¹ the appointmentª of ´Avšälôm אַבשָׁלוֹםª this hath been¹ determinedª° from the dayª¹ that he forcedª°¹ his sisterª Tämär תָּמָר.ª
