And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, The people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

And Davidª saidª° unto¹ him, Howª went¹ the matter?ª I pray thee,¹ tellª° me. And he answered,ª° That¹ the peopleª are fledª° from¹ the battle,ª and manyª° of¹ the peopleª also¹ are fallenª° and dead;ª° and Saulª and Jonathanª his sonª are deadª° also.¹
