And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

And Saulª saidª° unto¹ him, Why¹ have ye conspiredª° against¹ me, thou¹ and the sonª of Jesse,ª in that thou hast givenª° him bread,ª and a sword,ª and hast enquiredª° of Godª for him, that he should riseª° against¹ me, to lie in wait,ª° as at this¹ day?ª

And Saulª saideª° vnto¹ him, Why¹ haue ye conspiredª° against¹ me, thou¹ and the sonneª of Iesse,ª in that thou hast giuenª° him bread,ª and a sword,ª and hast enquiredª° of Godª for him, that he should riseª° against¹ mee, to lye in waite,ª° as at this¹ day?ª

And Saul said to him, Why have thou and the son of Jesse{gr.Jessae} conspired against me, that thou shouldest give him bread and a sword, and shouldest enquire of God for him, to raise him up against me as an enemy, as [he is] this day?
